Determine Girls – AS FAR: The fault in the Stars

These are two teams with contrasting fortunes, which will lock horns on Saturday at Stade Moulay Hassan in Rabat.
On the one hand, AS FAR, the leader of group A, has two matches, two victories, and qualification already in the pocket.

Then on the other, the Determine Girls, two matches, two defeats, the Liberians are destined for early elimination.

Contrary to what some might think, this pathetic situation gives additional motivation for Robert Lartey, the team coach: “We have goals for this game. The first is to score our first goal in this competition and secondly if possible to come away with a victory.
A difficult first ever participation, according to forward Martaline Moore: “We had two very difficult first matches. The Champions League is a competition that leaves no room for chance.

“We assessed our level on the continental level. We will, in the coming months, work hard to correct our mistakes.”

For Robert Lartey, the match against AS Far will be the beginning of the implementation of a new strategy.

“We are all going to question ourselves. We are going to prospect and above all put everything in place to return to this competition, and to live up to our hopes and goals,” Lartey said.
If it’s a learning curve for the Liberians, it’s a chance to confirm their Group A dominance for the Moroccans: “We want to finish first in this group A,” says Mohamed Amin Alioua.

However, AS FAR has had bad luck since the start of the competition, missing out on key players, including Sanaa Mssoudy, Ghizlane Chebbak and Hanane Ait El Haj, added to the suspension of Zineb Redouani, a real revelation of this tournament.

“We have to manage, we will deal with this absence which hurts us a lot. Redouani was already filling an absence on his flank. His versatility will be missed,” Alioua said.

“We don’t really have bench depth at this level, we will implement a new tactic and see what happens,” he concluded.

At the same time when the Moroccans and the Liberians will face each other, the Simba Queens will have a hard time facing Green Buffaloes at the Marrakech stadium.
