Two suicide bombers kill themselves after being found in Cameroon

YAOUNDE, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) — Two suicide bombers detonated explosives and killed themselves early Tuesday morning after being found by police in Goudjoudour, a village in Cameroon’s Far-North region bordering Nigeria.

“The two suicide bombers were detected from a distance by soldiers of Cameroon. Aware that they had already been seen, the two suicide bombers detonated the bombs, killing themselves,” an army source told Xinhua by phone.

No soldiers or civilians were affected by the explosion, the source said.

The bombers were suspected to be members of the Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram.

It came barely two days after two suspected Boko Haram suicide bombers killed two civilians, a police officer on the outskirts of Mora town in Far-North region.
