TotalEnergies AFCON U-20: Diallo targets World Cup spot

Senegal forward Pape Diallo scored twice to inspire his team to a 3-0 victory over Mozambique in the ongoing TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

The youngster dispatched a close-range effort to give the Teranga Lions a first lead before wrapping up the score with a delightful late header to complete the riot.

Diallo was named the Man of the Match for his sterling performance in the match against the Young Os Mambas in Group A at the Cairo International Stadium.

“We are preparing for each match separately, and our goal is to reach the World Cup. We are happy to qualify, but we still have a lot of work to do,” said the Generation Foot graduate.

“The match against Egypt will not be easy, but we will fight to win and to defend our country’s shirt.”

Senegal failed to qualify for the last edition of the TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Mauritania.
