YAOUNDE, At least three people, including two suicide bombers and one civilian, were killed in two attacks by suspected members of terror group Boko Haram on Thursday night and Friday morning in Cameroon's Far North region, local sources told Xinhua.
The early morning incident happened in Kordo of the Kolofata subdivision bordering Nigeria, where two suicide bombers were killed without civilian casualties.
Witnesses told Xinhua that two female bombers were spotted by the local vigilance committee before launching the attack.
"Spotted and cornered by the villagers who came from all over, they had no choice but to activate their explosive charges. Fortunately, they were the only victims," said Talba, a resident of Kordo.
Also in the Far North region, another attack occurred on Thursday night in the Mayo-Moskota subdivision bordering Nigeria, resulting in the death of a civilian, local sources said.
