Nigerian side, Rivers United, grabbed the final slot for the group phase of the Total CAF Confederation Cup 2017 after playing out a barren draw with Rayon Sports of Rwanda on Saturday in Kigali.

The result ensured the Port Harcourt outfit advanced 2-0 on aggregate after a similar win in the first leg last week.

The Nigerians held their own despite playing almost the second half with ten men after defender Ifeanyi Nweke was sent off on 58 minutes.

Rivers thus completes the lineup for the group phase ahead of the draw scheduled for Wednesday, 26 April 2017 in Cairo, Egypt.
