Santana Hotel Proprietor Denies Selling Edifice to Council

Ndu: The Proprietor of Santana Hotel, an ultramodern resort facility in Donga Mantung Division in the North West Region, Usmanu Kahnga, has debunked rumours that the property has been sold to the Ndu Council. According to Cameroon News Agency, the United States-based serial Cameroonian businessman made the rebuttal after rumours went viral on social media claiming the hotel was now the property of the Ndu Council. The claims of a change in ownership surfaced after a Facebook post by Prince Lesly Nformi, who also hails from Ndu Subdivision. Lesly Nformi, in his post, claimed that there were known links to the ownership of Santana Hotel and suggested that if the Ndu Council was purchasing it, the transaction should be made public. He also remarked that while he would have preferred a new luxurious hotel, the development was ultimately beneficial for the community. In response, Usmanu Kahnga dismissed the allegations and threatened legal action against the author. He stated that selling the facility had neve r crossed his mind and described the allegations as misleading. Usmanu emphasized that Santana Hotel had never been for sale and that he remained the sole owner. Usmanu Kahnga, in a Facebook reply, warned against spreading unfounded claims and reiterated that the ownership of Santana Hotel had not changed. He urged the author to retract the statement within 48 hours or face legal consequences. Usmanu expressed disappointment in Lesly Nformi's actions, given his political aspirations, and urged him to reconsider his statements. Usmanu also addressed his community, explaining that the hotel was built in Ndu for development purposes, not profit, and warned against political motives that could harm his reputation. He assured the community that Santana Hotel was not for sale and would not be in the future.
