Egypt coach Hector Cuper announced on Sunday (4 June 2018) the final 23-man squad list for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Russia 2018.
Liverpool inform forward Mohamed Salah was on top of the list, despite fears that the 2017-18 English Premier League top scorer and Most Valuable Player would miss the global showdown after injuring his shoulder during the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid last week.
Egypt had a goalless draw with Colombia last Friday (1 June 2018), and are due to face Belgium on Wednesday 6 June 2018 in their last friendly before heading to Russia.
The Pharaohs who are having their third World Cup appearance, and the first since 1990 are housed in Group A with hosts Russia, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia. They will kick off their World Cup campaign against Uruguay in Ekaterinburg on 15 June.
