The Matchday 2 of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup Group Stage was played this weekend. Pyramids confirmed as ASEC woke up.
Royal Leopards registered their first defeat for their first match in the competition.
In Lusaka, Pyramids beat Zanaco 2-0 thanks to a brace from Fagrie Lakay. The Egyptians have now two wins in as many games.
For their part, CS Sfaxien fell to Al Ahli Tripoli after their success on the first day. An own goal and an achievement by Saleh Al Taher did the trick for the Libyans.

In Group B, Royal Leopards finally made their debut in the competition. Exempt on the first day, the Eswatini club missed their start with a 0-2 defeat against JS Saoura. Hamidi then Hammia both on penalty gave the victory to the Algerians.
Difficult move for Orlando Pirates at Al Ittihad, despite a brace from Bandile Shandu. The Libyans won 3-2 and come back on points with their opponents.
