Rain Predicted Through Thursday with Uncertain Weekend Weather, Reports Meteorologist

Nicosia: Weather conditions this week include rain or thunderstorms through Friday, a rise in temperature on Wednesday and a decrease in rainfall, a slight drop in temperature on Thursday and a return of rain and thunderstorms, mostly clear weather on Friday, while at present there can be no certainty regarding weather conditions on Saturday and Sunday, according to Meteorologist, Michalis Mouskos.

According to Cyprus News Agency, Mouskos detailed that the air has cleared, and no further dust storms are expected during this week. However, the forecast for Saturday and Sunday remains uncertain, as different weather models present conflicting predictions.

On Monday, local showers and thunderstorms occurred, primarily in the mountains and inland, with a possibility of hail. A yellow warning for thunderstorms was issued, which expired at 1700. Monday evening is expected to be dry but cloudy, especially along the coast, with temperatures around 21 degrees Celsius inland and 20 degrees along the coast, slightly below the seasonal averages of 22 to 23 degrees Celsius.

For Tuesday, temperatures are anticipated to rise to 22 degrees Celsius inland and 20 degrees on the coast. Clouds are expected to develop midday and in the afternoon, potentially bringing local showers and thunderstorms in the mountains, inland areas, and later along the southern and eastern coastal regions.

Wednesday will see reduced rainfall compared to earlier in the week, with isolated showers expected in the mountainous and southeastern areas in the afternoon. Temperatures will increase to 24 degrees Celsius.

Thursday is predicted to have more significant weather activity, with local showers along the coast in the morning and evening, and clouds bringing local showers and isolated thunderstorms in the mountains, inland areas, and the southern and eastern coastal regions at midday and in the afternoon.

Friday is expected to be mostly sunny with some cloudy periods, and no rainfall is anticipated. A slight drop in temperature is expected from Wednesday through Friday.
