Mtibwa target victory away

Former Tanzania champions' Mtibwa Sugar travelled to Seychelles with confidence that they will seal another victory against their hosts, Northern Dynamo in Total CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round, first leg on Tuesday.

The two times Tanzania champions', Mtibwa beat Dynamo's 4-0 in the first leg in Dar es Salaam a fortnight ago, but its coach, Zubeiry Katwila unveil that they are not going to defend their victory, instead they will play to win it away.

Katwila said they will play with caution but their target is to score goals and earn crucial away victory so as to boost their morale for the first round of the continental second tier competition. If they progress Mtibwa will face KCCA of Uganda in the first round.

Everyone believes that with the victory we earned on the last game, we will go to defend away but that is not our plan. We are going to play attacking football, said the former Mtibwa Sugar midfielder.

This is the knockout stage, it battle for goals and we need to score more goals, that's our target. I told all my players that though we need to defend well, our target is to attack and look for more goals.

We have four goals but we cannot say that is enough and park the bus, no, we will not do that, he added.

Speaking about the fine form of their striker, Jaffari Kibaya who netted a Hat-trick on the first leg, Katwila believed that he can do better than that, if he stays determined.

He is a good striker, if he work much harder he can score more goals and help us in international duties as well as in the domestic cups. He is clinical but he needs consistence, he said.

Meanwhile, Mtibwa striker, Riffat Msuya said they are expecting tough away fixture and they are all prepared to fight as their main target is to go through the first round and much higher.

Msuya who netted the fourth goal for Turian based giants in the first leg, is delighted by their coach, Katwila and believes that his tactics will help them to more through the next round.

He is a good coach. We believe in him and his tactics. We are going for the second leg very determined and confident that we can defend our victory and to win too, said the former Ndanda FC attacker.
