Morocco welcomed in Vilankulo

The Moroccan delegation was received with deserved honours, by the Local Organising Committee (COCAN), in that paradisiacal tourist spot of Vilankulo, Mozambique.
The Morocco national team head coach, the Senegalese Oumar Ngalla Sylla, came with him a squad composed of 15 players deployed for this mission. For this edition, Sylla decided to go without one of the most experienced Atlas Lions in the team: captain Nassim El Sadaoui.

Along with Morocco, Mozambique is the team that has also been on the stage of emotions since last Friday. The two teams anticipated their arrival in Vilankulo by three days, the city which will host the current edition of the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations from 21 to 28 October.

On Monday, CAF delegation composed, among others, of referees and match commissioners is expected to arrive as well as the remaining teams.

Recall that the Beach Soccer AFCON Mozambique 2022, will be played by a total of 7 teams after the late withdrawal of Nigeria.

Thus, Group A is left with three members, namely Mozambique, Malawi and Morocco. Senegal, defending champions, Uganda, Madagascar and Egypt are in Group B.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals, and the finalists will guarantee their place in the Beach Soccer World Cup.
