JORDAN CONDEMNS TERRORIST ATTACK IN CAMEROON

AMMAN, Jordan on Friday condemned as “heinous” a terrorist attack carried out by Boko Haram terrorist group against refugees inside the west african country Cameroon, China’s Xinhua news agency reported the state-run Petra news agency as saying.

Jordan’s Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications and Government Spokesman Mohammad Momani said that such a terrorist act shows the ugly face and wrong thought of this terrorist organization.

He urged for more international efforts to protect civilians and innocent people all over the world.

The minister expressed the Jordanian government’s condolences to the families of the victims, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

At least 11 people died and 30 others were injured in a suicide bombing Friday morning in the far north of Cameroon, a senior government official said.

The attack was carried out by two suicide bombers around 5 am (4 am GMT) in Kolofata, a town bordering Nigeria, said Midjiyawa Bakari, governor of the Far North region in an interview with state-owned radio and television service (CRTV).

The CRTV reported that 30 others were also wounded, with some in critical conditions.

The two suicide bombers suspected of being affiliated to the Nigerian Islamic sect Boko Haram, are among the victims.
