Nigeria’s Super Falcons will require something special to get past Cameroon Tomorrow in the semi final of the 2015 All-Africa Games.
The Chris Danjuma-tutored side emerged runner up in Group A after a 2-1 defeat to Ivory Coast.
The team had previously looked unstoppable pounding teams and leaving them for dead, reaching a 9-goal haul at the end of 2 group matches but looked pale and out of sorts against fellow World Cup returnee, Ivory Coast; who sealed a famous win from the spot in the 77th minute.
Danjuma who may be on his final grace to save face will have the unenviable task of facing the best Africa team at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup and runner up to the 2014 Africa Women Cup of Nations in Namibia which Nigeria incidentally won.
However, Ngachu Enow’s side qualified for the semis with just 2 points.
The three teams in Group B qualified with the same points, goals for and against. A tiebreaker was invoked and South Africa lost to Ghana in drawing of lots.
