CAF African Schools Football Championship: Ecole Omar Ibn Khatab and Ecole Aroui record heavy wins on day three

There were eight matches on a jam-packed day three at the ongoing CAF African Schools Championship UNAF zonal phase.
The clash between Ecole Alkaleel from Libya and Ecole Mohamed Maghraoui from Morocco ended 3-0 in favour of the Libyans. Host nation, Ecole Sewada fought out a 1-1 draw with Ecole Boulawech from Algeria in the second game of the boys’ category. Ecole Boulawech lost in their second game of the day at the cold hands of Ecole Alkaleel from Libya.
Hosts, Ecole Sewada suffered a 5-0 defeat against Ecole Hedi Ayadi in the last boy’s game.
In the girl’s category, Morocco’s Ecole Omar Ibn Khatab went in hard on their Algerian and Libyan counterparts as they beat Ecole Ibn Batoutan and Ecole Alkarama by six unanswered goals in each encounter.
Ecole Aroui secured a 2-0 victory against Ecole Mejda and went on to clinch their second victory of the day beating Ecole Ibn Batouta 4-0.
Earlier in the day, there was a continuation of workshops for coaches, young reporters, and young referees.
Jean Claude Lafargue, Director and coach of INF Clairefontaine and Loduvic Debru from the French Football Federation, took the coaches through some coaching techniques, FIFA and CAF Media Officer, Mondher Chaouachi continued his lessons about sports journalism with the young reporters’ workshop, while Hamdy Fathy and Pussy Said took the young referees through the laws of the game.
About 25 girls and boys took part in safeguarding workshop on Friday, and young reporters and referees’ workshops on Saturday and Sunday.
Later in the day, there was a round table meeting held at the TIBA ROSE HOTEL with officials from CAF, UNAF, TD, and Coaches of participating teams in attendance.
