The continent will be able to count on three teams to represent Africa with dignity in France next June. In Ghana, at the 2018 Total Women’s African Cup of Nations, Nigeria, South Africa and Cameroon finished in the top three to qualify for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
In Group A, Nigeria, reigning African champions, will have to beware of the Blues. The French won 8-0 in a friendly against the Super Falcons. Other opponents of this group: Norway and South Korea.
In Group B, South African women will face defending Olympic champion, Germany, Spain and China.
In Group E, Cameroon will play against Canada, the Netherlands and New Zealand.
